The last race of the North American Championships and a week of R&R

Well here we are back in Halifax, after a week of R&R for Team RTL!

You might think from the smiles on our faces,
we are spending our days ...

                          just ..........

sitting around ...

admiring the view ...

and travelling near and far....

or
 drifting along ,

shopping for projects to take home

                                       or little collectables ...

                                                  .. sadly no!

It is full on for the Reason to Live Team...

and now that Graeme has joined us , we are full steam ahead ,

Last week ended on a high..

It was Aussie , Aussie , Aussie, with Ray on a Mark boat

Lennie and David, from the Royal Victorian Yacht Club,
who will host the games in 2015...
plus and Yve and myself running the start boat...

hmm ......International Regatta, starting sequence, flag lady experience...
Don't tell the PCSC  sailing committee....

no effort spared.... to the roof for that special angle..
and just in case I needed a mike!

and then there were the teams....

our favourites...AUS 055

                                        ... and the rest...

                               The other Aussies ....

                                        The home team advantage

They came in from afar..

sailed to and fro....

The USA team were all tied up..

                                      starts were aggressive......

Pete was on the pin end...

They looked pretty coming back...

                                                in their different ways...

The British team beat the Aussies...but just by a whisker..

Same colour kite, another Aussie, Ame

                                       the USA team looked cool..

                               followed by Pete and Rachael..

10 races completed, a great sense of satisfaction for everyone..

Information on the World Championships next week are best found
www.ifds.com or on the RNSYS Facebook or web pages.

 So now all we have to do is ;

Complete classification , registration and measurement,
......all in process

The hardest part is done,

The Worlds require only two races a day; race start each day is 1300 hours with An Invitation Race on Monday ,
followed by the racing each day until Sunday.

I will be updating the blog on a nightly basis once the racing begins, and the fleet size will be doubled! Exciting !!
